Making sense of Black Friday

As another Thanksgiving has come and gone, so has another hectic and inexplicably malice Black Friday. Stores like Wal-Mart and Best Buy have been relentlessly stalked since the Monday of the Thanksgiving holiday. And at the break of Friday morn, mayhem ensued. Personally, I do not engage in the festivities, but I do relate to the need to score great deals.

There is one fashion deal in particular that, while present for Black Friday, shows itself many times within the year. Pavon by luz and victoria is a line that focuses on the funky and original. They currently have a Buy 1 Get 1 Free sale going on. And if you were to take a look at the dresses they offer you'd understand the amazing steal this entails.
These dresses are not for the faint at heart. They are all the same style ( tube dress), but the pattern and color combinations are stunning. You can purchase any of their styles for this current deal at Pavonnyc.com

Elegant Red

Found in the most stunning shade of red, this dress is sure to compliment all figures! I think its perfect for the modern day lady who's looking to be both fierce and professional. Dress it up with gold chandelier earrings and a leopard closed-toe pumps or be jaw-dropping at work if coupled with pearl accessories, black sheers and a solid black pump. It's really great way to add variety into your wardrobe. You can find this dress at modcloth.com

Social. Political.Formative. Dangerous

Where do we go, admist all the falseness and faux? When will there be change toward reality? In a time where we idolize individuals and work our whole lives towards immulating the actions of the rich, it's hard to grab onto what's honest and true.

Sitting in the back of a rented Rolls doesn't make you rich. It makes you nieve to the work, investment, and business surrounding the mind of a man who can actually afford it. A re-evaluation of our culture is long overdue. I personally pledge to not let social media hinder my personal progression. Or measure why worth next to someone else. I pledge to blaze my own trail, and encourage those around me to do the same.

Color For My Lips

" A lady should always have at the ready, red lipstick."

Upon a recent re-vamping of self ( i.e. self-improvement time), I have discovered a new aspects of my womanhood that were before embedded deep within my own skewed thoughts of what a lady should be. It's not so much that I don't know what I should do, act or say as a woman of distinction. It's just that I am not the woman I was a year ago. My personal growth is one of monumental proportions, and it shows in everything that I do.
If nothing else, I now walk boldly into the world's most intimidating venues. 5 inch heels and matching clutch to boot, I am todays renaissance woman. Embodying the classic elements of womanhood yet embracing new ideas of the modern era. Nothing is to great for me to conquer. And it is with this attitude that I re-introduce myself to you, my public. This is life as I see it, through rose-tinted lenses.

Hi Haters! Part 1

- Child! Let me tell you, let me tell you!

I had heard that o' girl round the block was talkin' smack bout us girl! Again! How she don't like us cuz of how we act and what not. I mean, who she think she is? She ain't nobody to me!

- Fa real? That ain't nothin' new though, cuz last I heard she was flaky any damn way. And besides, like you said, who is she to us?

- Well, girl, to be frank with you, if she going to keep runnin' her mouth, it's like free publicity and we can bank off that! I mean she ain't sayin' nothing but how we don't vibe like the rest of them at social functions and what not. How we don't need to be out cuz we don't act right. But hell, Imma lady! I associate with only the best our block has to offer , o.k?!

- Let them hate! Hating is apart of life, like breathing. Since she talkin' so much we must be doing somethin' right!

- It's cuz we just so jazzy girl! I'm tellin' you!

- I feel you! You can pay for college but you can't buy class!

- True that! It just comes with being us!

- Yeah so, I guess we just gotta keep on doin' us then. Gotta give 'em somethin' to talk about!

- Always, always!
